DESIGN LEAD

We are looking for an inventive Design Lead to join our fast-paced, growing team. As a member of our Marketing Team, you will support marketing initiatives and brand development while employing graphic standards across all touchpoints. As Design Lead, you will be instrumental in elevating the company brand and broadening the company’s visibility and your work will be seen across the world as we expand our global reach. You Will:

Create clean, captivating digital templates for websites, landing pages, email communications, social media, digital advertising, and more

  • Digest, synthesize, and design content for straightforward, engaging collateral including white papers, brochures, presentations, digital/print advertisements, and other promotional materials

  • Support video production efforts, including storyboarding, art direction, and basic animation and editing

  • Maintain and build out our corporate image library, icon library, and other visual brand assets that exemplify the brand voice and continuity

  • Adapt to, enforce, and enhance corporate brand standards, including periodic updates to the brand style guide

Minimum Expectations:

  • 3 years minimum experience working in-house or with an agency

  • Advanced graphic design skills including the creation and use of typography, vector graphics, illustrations, layouts, and photography

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Ability to design with and for Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote

  • Expertise in photography touch-ups and editing and proficiency in video/audio editing, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or a similar program

Ideally, you can also bring:

  • An understanding of UX design, SEO, and responsive web/mobile design

  • General understanding of code (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and Contentful

  • Experience working with a startup – fast with a balance between quality and quantity


You are experienced serving as the right-hand to a startup C-Suite Executive or an Executive at a growth-based tech company.  Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the right-hand to the CEO by helping to keep the office running when he is traveling abroad

  • Work on marketing efforts and putting together presentations

  • Manage the CEO's schedule and the bills that come into the office

  • Ensure office is well maintained, organized, and clean

  • Streamline office supply and pantry requests and ensure office is properly stocked with the appropriate items

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as an Administrative Business Partner at a startup or a growth based tech company

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to execute on ideas thoroughly with little to no direction

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience with coordinating professional communications both internally and externally

  • A demonstrated ability to communicate with and support senior leaders effectively

  • Fluency in Google Suite and an aptitude for picking up new technology quickly

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated field with a GPA of 3.5 or above

HR/Ops

You will be responsible for People Operations and/or other Operational duties:

  • Own all processes surrounding recruiting, hiring and on-boarding new team members

  • Manage quarterly performance review process for the entire team

  • Ensure that all company documentation is up to date, including employee handbook and benefits summaries

  • Conduct 1:1s and regular meetings as deemed necessary

  • Manage company’s ADP payroll account and run semi-monthly payroll

  • Work closely with the company’s CEO to assess team needs and propose thorough plans for process, protocols, or restructuring as needed

  • Continuously vet new opportunities to improve office culture and design

Financial and Expensing Operations

  • Review and process invoices payable by the company

  • Review monthly expense reports and process expense reimbursements as needed

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with the GDPR and monitoring data privacy risks arising in the organisation’s activities

  • Awareness-raising within the organisation of data processing requirements under the GDPR and other applicable European data privacy laws

  • Ensuring staff are trained on data processing requirements

  • Conducting data protection impact assessments

  • Maintaining records of processing

  • Conducting data security and processing audits

  • Serving as a point of contact for data subjects and supervisory authorities

While our client is not an EU company (they are based in NYC).  The company is seeking to meet candidates who have experience with other standards (e.g., NIST, ISO) and data protection / legal frameworks.
